New Fire Safety Regulations

Recent changes have been made by the Ontario College of Trades affecting who may service fire protection systems. In the past, building owners were able to perform semi annual and quarterly inspections of their sprinkler related systems themselves. The Ontario College of Trades in conjunction with the Office of the Fire Marshal have now mandated that a licensed Fire Protection Installer must perform all required quarterly and semi-annual inspections of the Sprinkler related systems as well as the annual inspection.
